Brighton’s Royal Sussex County Hospital, an early and important work by the giant of British architecture, Sir Charles Barry, is threatened with destruction by the area’s NHS Trust. SAVE Britain's Heritage has compiled this emergency report as part of a campaign to stop this madness. We are grateful to Adam Turner for his research into the history of the building, and to Barry’s biographer, Professor Michael Port, for his eloquent summary of Barry’s life and significance.
